# Bringing new hardware into production on schedule

## New product introduction programme management, connecting manufacturing trials, supplier engineering and component qualification.

New storage hardware had to meet manufacturing quality requirements within demanding launch schedules. The challenge was to reduce defect rates while keeping qualification and production planning on track.

Manufacturing trials were connected with supplier engineering teams through a structured cycle of testing, failure analysis and corrective action. Test results were fed back to suppliers. Their engineers investigated and disassembled components on site, while more complex failures went to specialist supplier laboratories.

The findings informed improvements, followed by further testing until the components met manufacturing qualification requirements.

Across four parallel new product introduction projects, delivery was completed on schedule and within budget.
